Use a brand new joint connection to gauge the depth of cut, and make a mark before you begin... and then keep the cut RPM's constant and drill straight during the reaming cut. I believe that the Pasco bit comes with a schedule 40 and schedule 80 alignment guide, most of us use 40 unless you do a lot of irrigation piping.
